The wait goes on but the garden walls go up

We are still awaiting the Planning Officers decision on our amended plans, he said yes in principal, now we need to see yes in writing. Hopefully soon. In the mean time the builders have built a new rear garden wall, half height side wall, work still in progress. The base for the garden store has been laid and the water harvester has been deposited into the ground along with some cement to keep it down as the water table is very high. Quick update

We are still awaiting the Planning Officers decision on the amendment that we have submitted, but as he has said that he cannot see any problems we have taken the chance and carried on with the paperwork side. The structural engineers are re-calculating the steels needed for the build and Kevin our architect will be sorting out the building regs this week when he returns from holiday.
The builders arrive on site this week and they will be clearing the site of all the trees today (Monday 12th our 24th wedding anniversary) and then digging a huge hole for the water harvester tank which will be arriving tomorrow.
Hope we hear soon about the planning as it will make all the difference to our house build.

Going, going, gone

The demolition crew have left the site ready for the new build. Amended plans have been submitted today and we should hear in one to two weeks from the Planning Officer. He has said that he cannot see a problem with them so fingers crossed they get rubber stamped.
