View

Views not bad either.
This is the view from the kitchen to be on the ground floor, bit overcast today. We should get a great view from upstairs once it has been built.

Hooray up she rises

After two weeks absence sunning ourselves on safari in Kenya, yes it was lovely thank you, the building has sprouted out of the ground. We are now at floor level with the block and beam flooring taking shape. As you can see from the floor level we certainly won't get flooded.

Footings done

Well what can I say, it's Thursday and it looks like the footings are done, really wide and very deep. The builders certainly got a move on, thanks to Steve Brown for doing such a good job. The interesting bits
are next and we will be away, will have to see if we can get someone to take some photos for us.
Lovely view over the back, roll on Summer.

Wow, talk about get a move on

The builders 'Baron Levine' got the amended planning permission in writing this morning and said that the Ground Workers would be on site today to start digging the foundations. We visited the site at 4.30pm and not only have they dug the rear foundations they are pouring concrete too.
That's amazing, things are really happening at last.

We got it

Quick update, just checked Poole Planning web site and our planning amendment has been granted, so it's all steam ahead, well it would be but our builder is on holiday until Thursday and we are out of town on Friday and then off on holiday for two weeks on Monday. Hopefully we can grab 5 minutes to discuss the next move and get this project off the ground. Would have celebrated with Champagne but the decision has taken so long a coming that the shine has disappeared. Let's hope things can get under way quickly.
