The lintels have arrived

The walls are still rising and the lintels have now arrived so the doors and window openings are taking shape. Still awaiting the steels, we have been told that they are on order. The side garden wall should take shape soon too.

A few more bricks

As you can see the walls are going up and things are moving along. The groundworkers have prepared the footings for the garden side wall and the brickies should get started on it next week. We have a delay with the build as we have a lot of steel work in the house and one of the steels is curved which apparently has a delay of 6 weeks as it is a specialist job, Birmingham has been mentioned as the place to get it done. Hopefully the delay will not be too long.

The inner walls start to take shape

After a fantastic weekend away in a Gothic Temple in Buckinghamshire,(Landmark Trust property) last picture, we have arrived back to see the inner walls taking shape. Breeze blocks certainly do rise quickly.

The outer walls start to rise.

Just look at how high the floor level is going to be, it should be around Brians elbow once the floor, the tiles and the insulation is
added on top.
The bricks are now going up too, (Ibstock golden purple) - looking good.
